Reviews for Ringsend recycling centre

Lot of recycling material was piled up in the house. Cardboard, Styrofoam, bottles, plastic, paint. Everything is very well marked at the centre. You just have to put stuff there. I couldn’t find the paint container and a member of the staff came to help me, I didn’t even have to ask.
Great value too as a car costs a mere €15.

I was using landfill for first time. It’s a bit tricky and confusing if you didnt separate materials in advance, but the staff is really friendly and helpful.

I’d recommend it.
Take a look on website and be prepared and separate your junk before go there to save time.

In the wake of the coronavirus epidemic, Ireland’s real estate market appears to be doing well. However, house prices rose 8.44% between 20211 and 20211. It’s still a seller’s market because of the rising demand for property. The demand for property is outpacing the supply2, which could cause problems between buyers.

You can purchase property in Ireland from anyone, regardless of whether you are a citizen of Ireland, EU/EEA or not. A non-EEA citizen can buy a property in Ireland.

  • The PSRA requires all estate agents to be licensed to legally sell property within Ireland9 – many will have their license readily available for you to check.
  • The law stipulates that property purchases in Ireland9 must be overseen by a Commissioner of Oaths, which is similar to a notary. We’ll be looking at their services in a minute.
  • A visa is not required to legally purchase property in Ireland. Citizens of the UK or Ireland don’t even need one to reside in Ireland.
  • You may lose your deposit once the contract has been signed.

How do I obtain a bank loan/mortgage

A mortgage from an Irish lender is generally easier if you already reside in Ireland or are a resident of Ireland. You may have difficulty obtaining a mortgage if you are a foreigner who is currently living abroad. Furthermore, it is unlikely that most UK banks will lend you a mortgage to buy a property here in Ireland.

There are several options. First, make sure you choose an Irish lender with a strong presence in Britain. An experienced mortgage broker can help you find the right lender.

You can also temporarily move to Ireland before you buy your property. Lenders will prefer to see evidence that you have lived in Ireland for at most six months and worked there for at the least twelve months13.

These are the most important facts to know before applying for a mortgage once you’ve found one that you are eligible for.

  • The maximum amount you can borrow is 3.5x your gross income. However, first-time and second-time buyers may be eligible for exceptions.
  • For first time buyers, a minimum of 10% and for all other buyers, a minimum of 20% must be provided. Investors in buy-to-let must deposit a minimum of 30%.
  • A mortgage “stress test” will be performed to determine if you are eligible for a mortgage. It looks at your income, spending habits, and other factors.
  • For your mortgage to be protected, you will need life insurance.

  • Solicitor’s Fees – There’s no fixed price for legal services in Ireland. It can be either a flat fee or a portion of the purchase price. Flat fees start at EUR900 +VAT. Percentage fees are approximately 1% + TVA.

  • Stamp duty – up to EUR1million, 1% of property price (2% over this threshold).

  1. The purchase of property in Ireland by foreign nationals is permitted without restrictions. This means that non EU/ EEA/ EEA nationals as well can purchase property here.
  2. However, owning a residential property here does not give you the right to reside in Ireland. Both residence and/or the right of remaining in Ireland are considered separate from property ownership. They depend on each individual’s personal circumstances.   3. Similarly, a non EEA nation who is not a resident of the EU cannot operate a business in Ireland if they own commercial property. This permission must be given by the Minister to Justice Equality and Law Reform. EU/EEA residents can still operate a company and live in Ireland under the general principles EU law. A company may be allowed to operate a small business from its property if it has one director resident in Ireland. However, the circumstances of each individual will affect how they are allowed to choose their residence.
  4. It is important for tenants of non-resident Landlords in Ireland to note that they are required under current tax legislation (section1041 TaxesConsolidation Act 1997) to withhold 20% annually rent and pay same to Revenue unless the non resident landlord has appointed the ‘Collection Agent’ to assess tax on rents from this particular rental property. A collection agent can be an accountant, solicitor, estate agent, or solicitor. However it could also include any Irish resident. After a collection representative has been appointed, tenants will be able pay the full amount to the Irish resident agency. You can easily appoint a collection representative by filling out an Income tax Registration Form for Collector Agents and submitting it at Revenue. First, the Landlord should register his/her tax number (or PPS) for income tax. The Collection Agent must then apply to Department of Social Protection in order to receive a separate Personal Public Service or Tax Number. This will be linked to Ireland’s landlord’s tax numbers. Revenue will then acknowledge the collection agent as such and the tenant can pay the rent to them without any deductions.
  5. A purchaser must also pay stamp duty equal to 6% of the value of commercial property transactions. Stamp duty on residential property transactions are payable at 1% up to EUR1m or 2% on all amounts above this amount. Both stamp duty must be paid by the purchaser within 30 working days of the transaction’s completion. A PPS or tax number is required to file a return for stamp duty. This may take up to eight weeks (currently, approximately) from the Department of Social Protection. This could cause delays in the transaction. People or companies who have not lived in Ireland or had a business there may not be able to obtain a Tax Number or a PPS.
  6. The conveyancing process for Ireland can be divided into 3 stages: the negotiation stage (where solicitors generally are not involved), the pre-contract phase (solicitors involved), and finally, completion (Solicitors involved). Negotiation typically involves private individuals as well estate agents and representatives. They negotiate the sale price and terms. Because the majority of legal work is done at the “precontract” stage in Ireland, both the parties can sign the contract soon after it has been signed. It depends on the transaction, and whether the purchaser is buying cash alone or with the benefit a mortgage. The time taken to complete a sale will also depend on the type of transaction. It should be possible to close the conveyancing transaction in less than 4 weeks after contracts are exchanged.
  7. An annual charge, known as “local property taxes”, of up to 0.18% of the market price of a residential home in Ireland with a maximum value of EUR1m and up to 0.233% on the balance must be paid annually to the Revenue before the 10th January of each year. This is something a potential investor should remember prior to purchasing a property for ‘buy-to-let’.
  8. Rates are due to the local authority for the location of commercial property. The property’s dimensions and other factors will influence the amount of the tax due.

What’s the best way for Clare coast residents to enjoy this area without crowds? Martina McCarthy, Moher Tours’ local guide, was asked by thejournal.ie. She grew up here and leads visitors on guided walks through Liscannor as well as the famous Cliffs.

What is the best time to go?

McCarthy suggests that you should visit Cliffs of Moher early in the morning, or later in the afternoon, because there are a lot of people who come to them every day, especially during busy summer seasons.

You might need to make sure you have a great time and check the weather forecast before you leave. The cliffs are stunning at all times of the year. You just need to be more cautious in winter. The paths can become slippery if they’re wet, and you’re exposed when it’s windy.

Where can I park my car?

Guerin’s Path is another option. It’s located about 1km from the visitor center and costs EUR5 per head. If you are willing to walk a little more, you can park your car in nearby Liscannor or Doolin.

Pro tip: Park close to Hag’s Head. This is the most southern point on the cliffs. McCarthy says that McCarthy pointed out that there is a small parking lot with a EUR2 honesty container. It’s only a 10 minute walk from the cliffs.

Which are the most important sights to see?

Tourists will be drawn to the visitor center, which is located on the hillside between the cliffs. There are interactive exhibits and videos inside, and there are viewing platforms and protected pathways outside. O’Brien’s Tower is also available for EUR2, which has been at the top of the cliffs since 1921.

“Looking to the north and west, you can see the Galway Mountains and the Aran Islands. To the south, you can see Liscannor Bay and Loop Head.

Pro tip: Allow yourself time to see the scenery and cliffs properly. Some people only have an hour, so you can take the famous photograph. McCarthy says that those with more time should still get out and explore the area.

What are the best places for lunch?

The visitor center has a cafeteria and a restaurant. There are also picnic tables outside for those who wish to bring their own lunch.

McCarthy recommends visiting Liscannor and Doolin if you have more time. There are many cafes, pubs, and restaurants. These include McHugh’s Rock Shop, Doolin Cafe and McHugh’s Egan’s Vaughan’s and Gus O’Connor’s.

Pro tip: Moher Cottage is located on the road to Liscannor and was voted “best coffee in Ireland” in a Today FM poll. “This is a great place to grab coffee and a snack. Caitriona Conidine transformed it into a beautiful coffee shop and gift shop. McCarthy adds that her husband also owns Considine’s Bar, which serves great pizza on weekends.”

How can I get away from the crowds at the Cliffs?

The Cliffs of Moher coast walk is a great way to enjoy the best views and avoid crowds at the visitor center. The trail follows the coast for almost 20km, passing through farms and other land.

McCarthy said, “The coast walk is so different that you might not even see any tourists at certain points.”

You can start in either direction. However, if you’re feeling fit, I recommend that you start at Doolin in morning, walk the 8km to the visitor center, then continue to Hag’s Head (5km).

It’s a narrow path along a exposed cliff edge, so be cautious with children. It is easy to follow and you won’t get lost.

Pro tip: A shuttle bus runs along the coast from Doolin to Hag’s Head, and back to Liscannor. McCarthy states that the shuttle bus runs the circuit from 9am to the evening so you can walk a portion of the walk before returning to your car.

Are there hidden gems that I should be looking out for?

You can’t go wrong with a visit to the beach if you’re on the Clare coast. You can swim and do watersports at many popular locations near the Cliffs of Moher, including Fanore and Spanish Point. But Clahane is a great place to find a hidden gem.

McCarthy states that Clahane, although busy at Lahinch, is a beautiful little beach that would be well-known by locals.”

It’s a beautiful beach with a lot of rock pools and sand. You can park your car there, and take a walk around Clahane to enjoy the sunset.

Pro tip: Keep an eye out for Wild Atlantic Seaweed Baths. They regularly bring mini “hot tubs” made from old barrels to Clahane. The heated seaweed barrels are large enough to hold two people. You can also just relax under fairy lights and watch the world pass by. McCarthy says that it is one of the most beautiful experiences he has ever had.

Not every door handle is the same

Removing Door Handles

Most door handles are very easy to take off. Most door handles will be attached to the door with screws. But some may have a -grub screw. Some will conceal hidden fixings beneath the outer roseplate. Some may have double fixs that are a screw from both directions.

Look for concealed fixings, grub screw types, and screw head type.

  1. Visible fix screws may be removed with a suitable driver.
  2. Concealed fix has a cover plate or outer Rose that can either be removed clockwise or slip-on.
  3. European handles are more likely to have a push on covering that will require extra care. The bottom of the cover plate should have an insertion hole. With a small blade screwdriver, you can lift the cover off. NOTE remove grub screws first! You should take extra care as these could cause damage to your door.

The replacement question will be determined by the new handle fittings.

You should think that if DIY is not your thing, then hiring a handyman would be the best choice.

Before you make the final decision, it is important to consider how the door handle will look.

Here is an information regarding foster care allowance in Ireland in 2022.

The last increase in foster care allowance occurred on January 1, 2009. Foster carers receive a weekly allowance. This is a payment that meets the needs of the child they care for. Foster care allowances are currently EUR325/week for children under 12 years old and EUR352/week for those aged 12 and older. It is paid for the child and provides support to foster carers in meeting all their daily needs. It is not subject to taxes and is not used for social welfare purposes.

Tusla may also offer financial support to foster carers by providing additional or enhanced payments if necessary.

Additional payments are any payment to a foster caregiver that is not at the standard rate for the fostering allowance. Additional payments cannot be made if a child has special educational or medical needs. Authorisation must also have been obtained from the Tusla Area manager.
