Reviews for Ringsend recycling centre

Lot of recycling material was piled up in the house. Cardboard, Styrofoam, bottles, plastic, paint. Everything is very well marked at the centre. You just have to put stuff there. I couldn’t find the paint container and a member of the staff came to help me, I didn’t even have to ask.
Great value too as a car costs a mere €15.

Honestly one of the better recycling center’s I’ve run past. Lots of recycling going on. Very central.

Great centre, very reasonable as it was only €15 per car so I would make sure you’d bring a lot in the one trip. Well organised and helpful staff.

A key feature of the Ringsend area is the chimneys of Poolbeg power station.

Ringsend is a southside inner suburb of Dublin, Ireland. It is located on the south bank of the River Liffey and east of the River Dodder, about two kilometres east of the city centre.

Areas included in Ringsend are the south side of the Dublin Docklands, and at the west end is the area of South Lotts and part of the Grand Canal Dock area.

A key feature of the area is the chimneys of Poolbeg power station. Formerly the point where ships arriving from across the Irish Sea would dock, Ringsend went into decline in the 19th and 20th centuries, when the shipping moved to other locations, although there is still some container shipping.

Neighbouring areas include Irishtown, Sandymount and the Beggars Bush part of Ballsbridge to the south, and the city centre to the west.

4 star only because its very busy and dont have too much space

Tibor Kovács:

I was using landfill for first time. It’s a bit tricky and confusing if you didnt separate materials in advance, but the staff is really friendly and helpful.

I’d recommend it.
Take a look on website and be prepared and separate your junk before go there to save time.

4star only because its very busy and dont have too much space to park your car/van inside while you are dropping the garbage out.

Very busy at 10 am

ken farrell:

Very busy at 10 am to day no geography of were to drop the general waste in different skips make things a lot easier for staff and customers would be to give a map of were the skips were the items are to be dropped off number the skips would be very helpful and would make things a lot easier easer for staff and customers alike

Well organised and safe

Larry O ‘Driscoll:

Quiet well organised and safe and kept tidy, however traffic flow once inside can be a bit difficult with vehicles having to reverse in some bays , holding up traffic trying to exit the facility.

Great amenity, a great service for all allowing the public to responsibly dispose of all waste types. Staff were friendly and helpful in word and deed. Thanks to SDCC and staff.
Great value too as a car costs a mere €15.

Friendly staff well signposted bays. One incident where some inconsiderate thick put paint in wrong bay and spilled all over the ground and basically didn’t care should have got a massive fine got it on my shoes and clothes, have to say the staff were quick to react and clean the mess left by this thick

Second time in Two weeks visiting. Same Problem again: I asked where I put cans told to put them in general waste .Asked where I put cardboard told to put it in general waste . One goes to all the trouble of sorting and cleaning cans and yet your procedures are not followed by your staff . Staff not IRISH
